Indian Oil Corporation Ltd consolidated sales up 27.90% on year in Q2FY2026 As on : 31-Jul-26  20:32

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd share price declined by 0.07% to Rs 139.95 after the company's net profit plunged by 107.52% to Rs 1141.09 crore, while revenue from operations gained significantly 27.90% to Rs 266407.28 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Refineries & Marketing industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 23.95 lakh crore, jumping 20.16%. It has inched up 2.21% over last one week and softened by 6.52% in last one month while the market capitalization of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd has improved by 1.19% and 1.44% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd stood at Rs 932.59 crore in Q2 FY26, tumbling by 110.66% year-on-year, and plunging by 104.71% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 3616 crore, crashing by 71.49% YoY and tanking 84.30% sequentially. Total expenses witnessed a sharp rise of 41.11% to Rs 266753.42 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 195317.95 crore, surging by 76.21% YoY, while employee benefits expense was at Rs 2592.11 crore, ticking higher by 6.46% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations declined slightly by 2.35% to Rs 7.58 lakh crore, while net profit witnessed a sharp fall of 68.05% to Rs 13788.83 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA witnessed a strong improvement of 7266673% to Rs 32476.81 crore, and PBT collapsed by 70.21% to Rs 17063.45 crore compared to previous TTM. The company's consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 34452.4 crore in FY26, as against Rs 71146.41 crore in FY25. Indian Oil Corporation Ltd dropped 6.14% in last one year, significantly underperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has eased by 4.36% during the same period.
